Basically Café Lindbergh is a small restaurant (basing from the name, it’s probably German or French) where people go to for leisure time and the restaurant’s delicious delicacies. It is known all over for its tea, coffee, pastries, and sandwiches, more so for the management that runs the restaurant. We are introduced then to Touno Itsuki, the owner and manager of Café Lindbergh, followed by the young Shinohara Chihiro (newly hired part-time waiter), Ichinose Shinya (a part-time waiter), Mihara Takumi (28-year old cook), the dashing Takamizawa Tsukasa (full-time waiter), and the great Watanabe Ryuuji, who is the owner of Café Lindbergh.

Each one of the characters in this yaoi game has their own unique and enticing personality. Chihiro, for instance, is a 20-year old who was recruited by Touno as a part-time waiter at the restaurant. He is instantly the eye-candy of the entire staff, but was a graduate from the United States, an artist, and the son of a food company well known and famous all over the country. Some of the characters also play a vital role in the game, such as Shounen A, a frequent diner at the Café Lindbergh who has a special table reserved for him due to his frequent visits to the restaurant.

The newly hired waiter Chihiro, before starting his job, was instantly told to “please fall in love”, which of course gives players an idea what is about to happen as the game progresses. Through all sorts of conflicts, challenges and events in the game, one would wonder if in the end, the five hot employees would find love amongst each other. Each character has his own unique personality and perception of what goes on in the café, so it is inevitable that every ending is different for every character.

Yaoi fans and avid players of BL games may not like Ein’s trademark design and sketch of the characters, but there are a lot of erotic and sexually enticing images as you progress along the game. Sometimes you’ll find scenarios where the characters are caught naked, but the penis is blurred for the sake of the younger audiences who might stumble upon this yaoi game. Going back to the multi-player viewpoint feature of the game, the player would have to save in different slots in order to go back and see what would happen for every option chosen for different characters.

Cast

Shinohara Chihiro
Chihiro is a 20-year-old who has just started working as a part-time waiter at Cafe Lindbergh after being recruited by Touno. He is an artist and the son of the owner of a food company. Chihiro has just recently returned to Japan, after studying in the United States. Although the youngest, he is mature in thinking and has a pleasant character. He always likes to help others and smiles a lot. Despite his outgoing personality, Chihiro keeps his own problems to himself, until he finds someone he can open up to.

Ichinose Shinya
Shinya is a 23-year-old part-time waiter at Cafe Lindbergh. He has just graduated from university recently. His previous employer went out of business, leaving him unemployed and without a place to stay. He spent some time travelling on his motorcycle and by chanced ended up at the Café where he was offered a part time job and accomodation in itsuki’s apartment. Shinya is a quiet and shy person who doesn’t speak much.

Mihara Takumi
Takumi is the 28-year-old cook for Cafe Lindbergh. He has a special interest in cake making and he went to a special culinary school after high school where he studied to become a baker. Prior to working at Café Lindbergh, Takumi worked in a few bakeries producing pastries. He is straight forward and candid, and does not mince his words. He acts as an older brother to the other boys.

Takamizawa Tsukasa
Tsukasa is 32 years old and a full-time waiter at Cafe Lindbergh. He is exceptional at serving customers and acts as Itsuki’s right-hand man running the shop. He has a calm personality and always wears a reserved smile. He distances himself from others as he fears becoming emotionally close to people. Tsukasa is a vegetarian.

Touno Itsuki
Itsuki is 43 years old and the manager of Cafe Lindbergh. He is an old friend of Ryuuji Watanabe, the owner, and was asked by him to manage the shop. Itsuki always wears a faint smile and never allows his true feelings to be revealed. He always speaks with honorifics and in a calm, courteous manner, even to younger waiters. Itsuki has a horrific past. His wife and son were killed in accident and he underwent a reconstructive surgery.

Watanabe Ryuuji
Ryuuji is 45 years old and he is the owner of Cafe Lindbergh. He is the leader of the Watanabe Group which runs a chain of Italian bistros. He has been friends with Itsuki since school days and places a high level of trust in Itsuki’s abilities. He treats Itsuki as his personal advisor and has him manage the Café. Ryuuji and Itsuki have a consensual sexual relationship.

Shounen A
Shounen A is about 20 years old and is a frequent customer of Cafe Lindbergh. He is recognized by the staff and has a specially reserved table where he reads and writes. Although he is well acquainted with the staff, he never tells them his real name, always getting them to address him as Shounen A.

Shounen A is an accomplished author who has won one award. However he has trouble making his ends meet. Itsuki offers to pay for his living expense and provides him with an apartment so he can continue to write, with one condition - that Shounen becomes his sex toy. Although Shounen A hates the agreement, he sticks to it so as to continue his writing. He yearns to find a way to get out of this arrangement.

The story revolves around the dance group known as Birdie, which became an instant success in the entertainment industry all over Japan. The group is composed of three guys: bright and enthusiastic Kazuya Nakajoh, nihilistic Takashi Kanzawa, and the intellectual and serious You Onozuka. Kazuya is known as the “leader” of the group who is very good insports, average in academics, but is very cheery and enthusiastic about his career. Takashi, the oldest in the group, always acts on impulse and is very unpredictable at times. You on the other hand is very calm and serious, an experienced actor and model. Combine their talents in dancing and you have Birdie, the dance group that became very popular in just a matter of three years.

The three guys began their career after they were auditioned and were recruited by the agency in charge of idol groups. The agency is being run by a ruthless and cunning female president who aims to improve and develop her agency’s talents by keeping them busy in all sorts of media, including singing, dancing, modeling for a magazine, and even hosting variety quiz shows. Each of the three men won the hearts of their fans in every show with You becoming even more popular in his performances in drama and theatre.

The main conflict arrives through the form of Tsubaki Kyouichi, the choreographer and famous ballet dancer from New York, who was hired to join the team as Birdie’s official choreographer. Masato, the group’s producer, coordinator, and negotiator, invited Tsubaki in order to keep the group at the top of the hit charts as Japan’s number one idol group, which in the end would lead to a number of changes that will have major impacts not only in Birdie’s performances but towards Kazuya, Takashi, and You as well. Little do we know that as the story progresses, Tsubaki constantly harasses the three guys and influences them to do all sorts of things that could lead to the downfall of Birdie.

The story of Birdie ~Bokura no Ren\’ai Shinrigaku~ (Birdie ~Our Love Psychology~) will definitely keep the player going since it has different features as compared to the usual trend of BL games. In the game you can choose to look at the story and choose options through Kazuya, Takashi, or You’s point of view. Not only that, you can do this everyday as every event unfolds in the game. Though the graphics and sketches of the characters are not as attractive as other yaoi games, the many sexual fiascos of Tsubaki with the three make this game so addicting and sexy that you just can’t drop it unless you finish the game all the way through.

Characters

Nakajoh Kazuya
Kazuya is the “leader” among the three members of “Birdie.” He is extremely friendly, bright and energetic. Despite his average academic results, he has quick reflexes and is very good in a variety of sports. Kazuya has a slight aggressive streak which causes him to get bossy at times.

Despite his outgoing personality, Kazuya hides a deep loneliness within himself. Growing up in a family and hardly seeing his parents who are busy with work, Kazuya developed a strong desire for someone to care for him and be by his side. However he also fears finding someone and losing their attention. This causes him to become cowardly when it comes to love.

Kazuya is expressive and shows his feelings on his face. He has a good physique from his activities and is tanned from being outdoors. He has a bad habit of being late and needs Matoba to give him wake up calls every morning.

Kanzawa Takashi

Takashi is the oldest member of “Birdie,” although he doesn’t look like it. He is very eccentric and capricious with his actions, always acting on a whim. Sometimes he’ll show up at work early, and other times he can be absurdly late.

He can easily imitates expressions and still look natural making it perfect for photography work. When he isn’t in front of a camera, he becomes indifferent about everything. He doesn’t bother about others and doesn’t like others to express concern about him too. He often slants his head downward when talking with others to try to give off an attitude of disinterest.

He suffers from insomnia, often waking in the middle of the night. He seems to be in a constant daze and he talks in a song-like melodic manner. He speaks quite effeminately with a bored slur. Takashi’s trademark accessory is his choker which he always wears tight around his neck.

Onozuka You

You is the most adult-like member in “Birdie.” When he’s working with the group, he always has a smile for the camera, his face exuding a cool beauty that easily causes others to swoon. When away from the camera, You’s face is rather expressionless and he lapses into silence.

Previously You did work in modeling under an exclusive contract, until Masato convinced You to audition for “Birdie”. With his connections and influence, Masato managed to get You over to “Birdie”. You has feelings for Masato ever since but he keeps it hidden within himself.
You is intelligent and thinks rationally. He is an introvert and constantly builds up intense feelings within his inner self. He does not make his feelings public to others and hides them behind his expressionless façade and cool words.

He also hides his feelings through acting: when he enters a role, he gives intense expressions that leave a lasting impression, and because of such, You has started to become the starlet of the industry.

Short and slim, You gives a very delicate impression. When he is away from work You enjoys spending time on his personal computer surfing the internet, reading online newspaper articles, or researching for information. He also enjoys reading in his quiet time. When lost in thought, he has a habit of rubbing his fingers between his eyes.

Tsubaki Kyouichi

Kyouichi is a ballet dancer who is recruited as a choreographer for “Birdie.” Though he originally started his ballet dancing in Japan, he moved to America where he continued with his ballet and also entered into Broadway in New York. After sealing a deal with Masato, Kyouichi returns to Japan and joins “Birdie.

Kyouichi has youthful good looks and a charming personality. However beneath his façade, he is a brutal psychopath who enjoys watching people getting hurt. He loves sex and has no interest in developing further feelings with his lovers. He enjoys using sex to stir up trouble and never feels guilt or regret. He takes what he wants and enjoys inflicting pain on others.

Matoba Hisashi

Matoba is the head manager of “Birdie.” He first entered the industry ten years ago as a graphic designer, before taking over as manager when his friend took over as the president. Apart from leading the entire group, he also takes personal responsibility for Kazuya.

When he isn’t working, Matoba enjoys drinking and the occasional smoke. He takes on the role of a guardian over the boys and is friendly towards them. He takes special care and interest in Kazuya, and takes time to help him with his problems.

Hiiragi Masato

Hiiragi is another manager of “Birdie,” though he reports directly under Matoba. He works as producer, coordinator, and negotiator of the group. On an individual basis, he is the charge of Takashi. He keeps his relationship with Takashi terse and to the point, in a strictly business like fashion.

Hiiragi’s main line of work was originally based in New York. When the “Birdie” project first started, he returned to Japan to get the project underway. As the project progressed on, Hiiragi was invited to work permanently with the project team. He often makes business trips for the agency to New York. He knew Kyouichi while in New York and had a sexual affair with him in the past. With Kyouichi being part of “Birdie”, Hiiragi decides to start afresh, and cuts off all sexual ties with him. This is perhaps due to his new found fondness of You, ever since he persuaded him to join the group.

Sakagami Ryouta

Sakagami is also one of the managers of “Birdie,”, despite his youth and relative inexperience. He is good at computers and takes care of the equipment for the group. He is You’s supervisor and they share a common interest in web surfing. Sakagami develops a personal friendship with You, outside of work.

Artificial Mermaid ~Silver Chaos 2~ is very different from other yaoi games since it takes on a sci-fi theme. Basically the player is set in the future where the world is affected by the post-war aftermath of constant nuclear weapon use. The main cause of the conflict is the effect of such pollution, which could kill a human being in just a month. The government, in response to this problem, produced what they call LMC or “Life Microchip”, which is implanted in the body and acts as their immune system to the nuclear pollution. But because of the extremely high demand for LMCs, most of the crimes going on involve the possessions of these microchips. So the government decides to create the Lifemicrochip Crime Commando or LWC, in which we are now introduced to our yaoi main character.

Yuuri Mimori, along with his childhood friend Ibuki Takamura, joins the LWC and is constantly facing danger all throughout. As long as Ibuki is by his side, Yuuri doesn’t feel any threat or fear when doing his job. They are then guided by their leader and officer, Roy Kashizaki, who takes them to meet the other members of the LWC team. Later that night, Yuuri begins to feel pain in his chest and slowly falls into unconsciousness. This is due to his terrible illness, which he has had ever since he was a child. To counter it, he usually takes medicine or else his body will begin to deteriorate. Just as he was about to lose his senses, he feels the warm kiss and something cool flowing down his throat; he wakes up and realizes Ibuki is looking down at him with a worried look on his face.

After that incident, Yuuri can’t stop having the same dream every night wherein he feels like he is underwater and hears a voice that keeps calling out to him. But still he goes on with his job everyday, constantly being given attention by other members of the LWC such as Jeiru Koga, Rion Kunisada, Firio Osakabe, Tsukasa Shinonome, and many more. As the game progresses, interesting characters such as the god Ragsiel appears, who are also connected mysteriously to the effeminate Yuuri. Wacky encounters, intimate moments, and of course erotic and sexual images compose Artificial Mermaid ~Silver Chaos 2~ making it a very good yaoi game to add into the collection.

Characters

Yuuri Mimori - Yuuri is a beginner who has just been assigned to the LWC. He has a fair and feminine appearance, and his manner is soft and gentle. Yuuri is afflicted with a strange illness that requires him to take medication regularly. Since joining the LWC, he has been plagued by a strange recurring dream.

Ibuki Takamura - Ibuki is also new to the LWC who joined with Yuuri, his childhood friend. He is a very likable person with an extremely invigorating personality. He stays close to Yuuri because he is extremely worried about his bad health.

Sein Kunisada - Sein is the boss of the LWC, and he portrays himself as a gentleman. He lost his wife in accident when his son, Rion, was young. Since then, they have an awkward relationship, and do not talk much to each other. Despite their lack of communication, Sein worries about Rio as he is reckless and selfish.

Roy Kashizaki - Roy is the leader of the LWC. He is very serious and lives only for his work. He likes to harass his subordinates frequently, but Yuuri and Ibuki seem to induce an inner softness within him.

Jieru Koga - Jieru is a member of the LWC, and an expert gunsman. He spends all his wages on gambling and alcohol then ends up having to ask for his paycheck in advance. This causes him to get reproached by Roy. When Yuuri joins the LWC, Jieru quickly sets his sights on him.

Rion Kunisada - Rion is a member of the LWC. He is the son of Sien, who is the boss of the LWC. Rion lost his mother when he was young and he has an awkward relationship his father. He has an intense personality and is a proud person. Rion takes a liking for Yuuri when he arrives, particularly for his graceful looks. Because of his stubborn character, Rion constantly goes against Roy.

Firio Osakabe - Ferio is a member of the LWC. He has a very timid and hesitant personality, and is always being made fun of by the other LWC members. However, his personality completely changes when he is behind the wheel of a car, or when he has a gun in hand.

Tsukasa Shinonome - Tsukasa is in charge of the medical affairs and counseling of the policeman in the LWC. He is a very gentle person and is good at healing. He loves psychology and enjoys creating his own psychological tests in his spare time.

Mao - Mao is an outcast of society, being part human with animal ears and a tail. He is discovered by the LWC when he causes a commotion in town, and they take him under their care. Originally not speaking the language of the humans, Mao learns quickly although he speaks very slowly. He has a very innocent personality, and a huge appetite. He eats just about anything.

Brad Hiruma - Brad is the director and a doctor in a hospital that is very affordable, making it very popular among the citizens. Though polite, he gives off a very cold impression that makes people want to keep their distance from him. He used to be a cheerful person with lots of friends in the past, which is opposite of his current personality right now.

Ragsiel - Ragsiel is a god who constantly battles with demon, Herdeus. He seems to have a mysterious link with Yuuri, who ends up in the middle of this ancient war between the two forces…

The game has four chapters and it revolves around the story of angels. An angel (his name is unknown) falls from Heaven and into the Abyss where he is set in creating a powerful kingdom known as Naraku or Hell. He constantly works to create a replica or a better version of Heaven, but is unable to do so. The demons that reside in the kingdom are constantly in conflict, especially with fallen angels who are able to survive the fall from Heaven, making life in the Abyss very difficult. War and bloodshed fills the kingdom due to these fallen angels that the king begins to weaken and lose his powers, clearly nearing death. In order to continue the Naraku legacy, he gives birth to two princes: one who is born out of his red right eye and the younger from his blue left eye.

The king then declares that the two princes will battle one another, in which the winner will rule the kingdom while the fallen one faces death. These two princes are known as Alexander “Alex” Pastener and Platina Pastener, who both have never seen the other and have no idea what the other is capable of. They are assisted with their own personal staff officers. Alex on one hand has Sapphirus Hawthorne, the caretaker and teacher of the young prince who has a cheery and patient disposition towards him. Platina on the other hand has Jade Davis as his staff officer who is more serious, intelligent, and is very devoted to his prince.

The first two chapters of the game begin with you gathering allies and gaining their trust. It also revolves around card playing, which is the main battle mode in Apocripha/0 Alex Disc. You basically travel all over the world, choosing options that lead to certain story lines that are linked to one another. You continue gaining allies and playing against opponents until such time that you have to face your twin and his own allies as well. Yaoi games fans will enjoy the many instances where the cute Alex and Sapphirus share intimate embraces with one another as well as squeal over the affections of Jade towards his beloved handsome Platina.

The introduction of the many hot, sexy, and charming characters is also the main attraction of this BL game. As you go along with the story, you will find interesting characters that are in one way or another linked to the main characters’ quest in winning the succession of Naraku, some of whom might have something more up their sleeves after all.

Characters

Alexander Pastener - Alex is the first prince of Hell (Naraku), he is the elder of the twin sons that was born out of = the right red eye of the King of Hell. By the Kings order, he is to fight Platina to the death over the succession of Naraku. The winner shall be King and the loser will face death. He doesn’t really know Platina and has hesitation over fighting his stronger brother. He is often selfish and short tempered. But behind this mask, lies a deep caring attitude towards others.

Platina Pastener - Platina is the second prince of Hell (Naraku) and the younger twin born from the left blue eye of the King of Hell. He has to fight with Alex to death over the succession of Naraku.
Platina is inherently more powerful than Alex, yet he struggles with an internal conflict about the battle for succession. He is calm , cold and calculated who always does the right thing.

Beryl - Despite his youthful appearance, Beryl is actually an immortal magician who appears and disappears like the wind. With each appearance, he brings either miracles or disaster. He is known as the “Blue Sage” among the residents of Hell and remains and overall mystery. Beryl has a multiple personalities. He can be playful at times, and yet serious at times. He takes sides with Alex or Platina, but never with Zil.

Carrol Martell - Carrol is a half-angel priest who runs an orphanage for half-angel children. He is Ruby’s half-brother, the son of an angel mother and Ruby’s demon father. He holds a grudge against Ruby since Ruby’s father left him and his mother. Carrol is jealous of ruby’s normal childhood that he never had, and he eventually lashes out against Ruby and leaves him a scar across his chest.

Carrol is quiet and reserved on the surface, yet he has a short temper underneath. He allies either with Alex or Platina, and is always on the opposite side of Ruby.

Jade Davis - Jade is Platina’s staff officer. He has a more serious and intelligent demeanor. Jade has a quick tongue that may offend people, but he doesn’t care. He is Platina’s care-taker, and is very devoted to him. Since he is trying to help Platina win the battle of succession, he takes on a rather rival-like relationship with Sapphirus, Alex’s staff officer. However, there seems to be a mysterious side of Jade that he seems to be hiding.

Lhodo Chrosite - Lhodo was once a male who was cursed into the body of a beautiful woman. She is a bounty hunter and con-artist with a very short temper.
She gets into fights easily when she gets angry, with a vengeful determination. Like a true artist, she uses her feminine charm to fool unsuspecting victims. She detests Plum, the one who placed a curse on her, and stops at nothing to hunt him down to break the curse.

Plum - Plum is one of the last survivors of a rare race of animal people known as the Aprasas. The Aprasas are known to be the guardians of the elemental shrines. He has a sweet and innocent personality, and tends to be kind to anyone. His family was killed by bounty hunter Lhodo, whom he laid a curse one, trapping him into the body of a female - which was Lhodo’s first victim.

Ruby Jackson - Ruby is a care-free chivalrous thief who is now a lone hunter against the angels. He is a fun and playful character, who speaks in the quick Kansai dialect. Despite his carefree personality, he has a serious side, especially when it comes to his quest for revenge against Carrol, his half-brother, who betrayed him and gave him the scar across his chest.

Sapphirus Hawthorne - Sapphirus (aka Sapphi) is Alex’s staff officer. He has a rather cheery disposition, playing the role of teacher and care-taker to Alex. Sapphirus exhibits amazing patience with Alex’s stubborn attitude. Since he is trying to help Alex win the battle of succession, he takes on a rather rival-like relationship with Jade, Platina’s staff officer.

Seles - Seles is a fallen angel who was removed from Heaven for amassing too much power and killing God, something the other arch-angels continue to keep a secret. He is sealed within the Abyss, and wants to be free from his prison to create his own utopia. With the birth of the twin heirs to the throne of Hell, he just now may have his opportunity…

Zil Hiragi - Zil is a former assassin who still keeps his appearance secret. He hides his face behind a shroud of cloth. A silent character, he speaks only when necessary and keeps his words to the minimum. He lives like a hermit in the mountains where he does artwork. He is a very mysterious figure, who seems to have lived for a very long time and has a past with Beryl, who helped him gain revenge on the murderer of his wife.
